#Roommates, the war of words between T.I. and his former protégée Iggy Azalea apparently isn’t going away any time soon, as Tip has fired a new allegation her way regarding why they parted ways.
As you’ll recall, a few weeks ago, T.I. bluntly stated that signing Iggy Azalea was a “blunder” in his career—and she promptly responded with her own take on the situation. Now, during a recent appearance on the popular radio morning show “The Breakfast Club,” he elaborated even more on what he meant.
T.I. believes that part of the problem with Iggy is that she completely changed when she started to receive attention and accolades from the white audience—and he wasn’t cool with it:
“I feel like she was meant to be great. As far as I’m concerned, I feel like when she found out white people liked her and she didn’t really need black people to like her anymore, she switched up, started acting different, made moves that I wasn’t proud of, that kind of placed my reputation in the line of fire. And she was very arrogant about it.”
He continued, adding:
“The raps were dope at first, you know what I mean? Of course, she had…help. It was dope at first, and then she exposed herself so much. And I feel like it just kinda—it undid all the good that was done.”
It will be interesting to see if or how Iggy will respond to T.I.’s latest comments. The last time she responded with a since-deleted tweet that read, “Imagine thinking I was his biggest blunder lmaoooooooooo. Tip. Sweetie. We have a whole list for you.”
Stay tuned ya’ll.
Roommates, what are your thoughts on this?
