“Superfly” actor and rapper Kaalan Walker was hit with nine separate felony sexual assault charges this week. According to a news release from the Los Angeles Police Dept., he was charged for a series of sexual assaults that included contacting aspiring models on social media and promising to help them professionally.
According to reports, the alleged attacks date back to 2016 and all happened in the county of Los Angeles. Police say he would offer the women help with their careers, and then once they were alone, he would take advantage of them sexually.
The 23 year old’s charges include five counts of forcible rape, three counts of sexual penetration by a foreign object, and one count of forcible oral copulation. Walker, who was arrested in Van Nuys, California last month, is currently being held on a $1,080,000 bail. His next court date is scheduled for Nov. 14.
The Los Angeles Police is currently investigating if there are any other alleged victims. “The Los Angeles Police Department Van Nuys Area is asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to locating additional victims of suspect Kaalan R. Walker,” the news release states. “Anyone with additional information is urged to call Van Nuys Area, detectives at (818) 374-9500. Walker is also known as KR. According to his IMDb page, he’s appeared in films like “SuperFly” and “Kings,” as also in the TV series “In Contempt.”
