According to NBC News, Kaalan Walker, the actor who appeared in 2018’s ‘SuperFly’ has been sentenced to 50 years to life in prison for sexual assault crimes.
Judge Joseph Brandolino also ordered Walker to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
As previously reported, three of Walker’s victims were 16-year-old aspiring models. Walker sexually assaulted the seventh woman during what prosecutors called “sophisticated” attacks between 2013 and late 2018. A jury convicted him in April of 2022 for his crimes.
The actor hung his head and began sobbing as the court read the split verdict.
Walker has maintained his innocence. In court, stated:
“I didn’t rape anybody, your honor. I did not rape anybody,” while being led away in handcuffs following the jury’s departure.
Reports show Walker was acquitted of charges related to three of the ten victims in the case, including two charges of forcible rape.
