Okay ladies and gents I know you might be going, huh? But ladies, have you been questioning in the back of your head why after you’ve awakened from a lustful dream, that you almost felt it was the real thing?! A new study proves that 37% of women experience orgasms in their sleep, while nearly half of that percentage happens for women during sex!
According to the Daily Mail, they’ve reported that US researches noticed 37% of women experience an orgasm in their sleep by the age of 45. In further research from the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender, and Reproduction said that women by their 50’s experience “nocturnal orgasms” and it doesn’t matter if your single or married.
One woman name Jade, who is 24, has had this roller coaster ride happen to her while she was fast asleep and considers it a “present from your brain.”
“I’m not getting a lot of action, I sometimes even got so bored of not having sex that I lose interest in masturbating, and my brain reminds me that yep, I can still orgasm,” Jade told Broadly.
Luckily for men, 83% have said that they’ve gone through “nocturnal emissions,” which involves an orgasm while asleep or without.
Researchers gathered data from 11,000 people being questioned about their sexual interactions with others. 70 percent of females go through sexual dreams while asleep and 100 percent of men nearly always do.
Dr. Debby Herbenick, associate professor at Indiana University and researcher at Kinsey Institute, said that women who have orgasms go through a psychological time-frame in order to climax. There’s a number of reasons that set women apart from experiencing an orgasm versus guys. For women, it can be stress, having a selfish partner, one who shows lack of caring, and personal insecurities.
“Orgasm generally gets easier with age and experience, and when women have sex with regular partners who they feel care about them,” Herbenick said.
Herbenick also mentions that the key to an orgasm cannot be easily achieved by masturbating while you’re asleep. Other researchers follow-up on that statement saying that you should fantasize before you’re fast asleep!
So ladies and gents! Don’t be scurred! Start with confidence and care for one another deeply so women are able to create that sexual fantasy they’ve been wanting forever!
