The stepson of a billionaire lost at sea inside a missing five-person submarine is defending his actions after social media called him out for attending a concert amid his stepfather’s disappearance.
Additionally, the stepson also received backlash for commenting on a half-naked OnlyFans model’s photo as search efforts continue.
Brian Szasz, the stepson of Hamish Harding, defended his actions. In a video shared on his Instagram Story, Szasz explained that he only has $100 to his name and has a “legal situation” preventing him from searching for his stepfather.
Furthermore, he explained that he had a ticket to the Blink-182 show and wanted a few hours of enjoyment before returning to the consistent news updates.
“It wasn’t like, I was having super fun, I wasn’t celebrating or having a great time. I was just listening to some of my all-time favorite songs, nodding my head, and maybe get off the phone for two hours or so,” he said in the clip.
The 36-year-old also expressed a sense of helplessness at the situation.
“The submarine is stuck at the bottom of the Titanic. There is nothing I can do for the situation at all,” he said.
Check out the text of Szasz’s initial tweet regarding the concert below.
“It might be distasteful being here… but my family would want me to be at the Blink-182 show as it’s my favorite band and music helps me in difficult times!”
Additionally, Szasz also attempted to explain his comment under an OnlyFans model’s picture. He explained that the model is his friend and that they always message.
According to various reports, the submarine’s oxygen levels should have depleted at 7:08 a.m. Thursday.
