Stephen A. Smith is addresing a now-deleted tweet from his official Twitter account that referred to Kim Kardashian as a “prostitute.” Additionally, the tweet also referred to Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner,” as a “pimp.”

The Initial Tweet Regarding Kim Kardashian & Kris Jenner From Stephen A. Smith’s Twitter

Over the weekend, Smith’s official Twitter account shared two questions for social media users regarding Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner.

“Is Kim Kardashian a ‘prostitute’? Is Kris Jenner a “pimp”?”

The tweet read.

According to TMZ, the tweet was a “teaser” for a recent episode of Smith’s ‘The Stephen A. Smith Show.’

Shortly after, Smith’s tweet was deleted. However, NBA star Patrick Beverly called Smith out for his words, adding that they were “not cool.”

“Not cool. She has kids. Should not be the tittle or topic.”

Smith then responded explaining that it was a “clerical error.” Additionally, he even tagged Kardashian in his response, explaining that he would not “speak of her or any woman that way.”

“Clerical error bro. You are absolutely right. That is being corrected right now as we speak. And for the record, I don’t think of @KimKardashian

that way nor would I ever speak of her or any woman that way, which I’ve stated. That’s for checking that issue.”

The Sports Commentator Steps Into The Shade Room To Address The Now-Deleted Tweet

The Shade Room caught up with the sports commentator while present at the Crawford v. Spence boxing match over the weekend. Smith shared an exclusive statement regarding the tweet from his account.

The 55-year-old explained that the tweet was an “accident” that “shouldn’t have happened.”

“It was an accident, that shouldn’t hav happened…”

Additionally, he explained that the tweet wasn’t made by him. However, he apologized for the incident even taking place.

“That wasn’t me, that was a member of my team. But the bottom line is that the responsbility falls on my shoulders. I apologize for that.”

Instagram users quickly took to the The Shade Room’s comment section to share their humorous responses to Smith’s apology. Many social media users didn’t appear to take Smith’s words seriously.

Others shared their pure belief that the tweet was made by Smith despite his denial.

Meanwhile, one user, @msbasketball1, condemned Smith for his “highly disrespectful” words.
“Unacceptable!!! He/They know better!!! This was highly disrespectful!! And someone needs to be held responsible!! This was beyond unprofessional!!”

Stephen A. Smith Recently Came Under Criticism For His Comments Regarding Rihanna

As The Shade Room previously reported, in January, Smith came under fire for his comments regarding Rihanna ahead of his Super Bowl halftime performance.

At the time, Smith said Rihanna was “a lot of things.” However, he added that she “ain’t Beyoncé.”

After receiving widespread public backlash, Smith then apologized to Rihanna, as reported by The Shade Room.
