Stephen A. Smith And Eric Reid Exchange Words On Social Media Following Colin Kaepernick’s Workout

Yesterday Colin Kaepernick held his workout for representatives from NFL teams in Atlanta, there was a change of plans for the location of the workout. Nonetheless, Colin showed off his skills and proved that he has been in great shape and ready to play.

However, Stephen A. Smith made a video about the incident and shared that he doesn’t think that Colin really wants to play in the NFL. Eric Reid, who is good friends with Colin, and also his former teammate who kneeled with him wasn’t having it and responded to Stephen.

The two went back and forth on social media about the matter and it’s clear they are not seeing eye to eye on the situation.

In his video, Stephen said, “Twenty five teams show up in Georgia at the Atlanta Falcons practice facility — state of the art facility, NFL personnel, equipment, video, everything, and what does Colin Kaepernick do. Colin Kaepernick wants to change the venue. He don’t want to play. He wants to be a martyr.”

Eric wasn’t going to let him talk about his friend like that and jumped in and said, “Damn straight Colin wants to control the narrative! He supposed to trust the organization that blackballed him and has done absolutely nothing in good faith??? Born on Tuesday, just not last Tuesday.”

In a lengthy post, Stephen responded and pointed out that Eric is still getting a check from the NFL and said, “You @E_Reid35, who takes a knee — supposedly for brothers, yet attack brothers — Malcolm Jenkins, Jay-Z, ME — at every turn the second someone disagrees with you. You @E_Reid35 got the nerve to call out the @NFL when your beef was supposed to be with society in regards to police brutality and racial oppression.”

Nonetheless, the discussion didn’t end there as the two of them continued to exchange words about the matter.
