Then, it showed Erica Mena flipping a table in response to Spice’s words.
Additionally, Mena also called Spice a “blue monkey.”

The “Queen of Dancehall” sat down for an exclusive interview with Forbes, published on Wednesday. During the conversation, the 41-year-old updated fans on how she’s been feeling since her heated interaction with Erica Mena.
“I’m great, actually,” she explained. “I’m doing so great. I’m on my, you know, ‘woosah’ journey to becoming this new woman…”
As the conversation continued, the host explained that if they were on the receiving end of Erica Mena “flipping” a table” being called a “monkey,” they might not feel the same.
“I feel like that comes with — I know what I signed up for,” Spice explained. “So I’m good. I’m in a better space right now.”
The host then asked the singer if reality TV is “worth” her “peace of mind.” The dancehall singer replied by explaining that “it comes with it.”
“You know what the franchise is about,” Spice said, referring to ‘Love and Hip Hop Atlanta.’ “I have my peace of mind — nobody takes my peace of mind away from me…”
The Dancehall Singer Shares What She Presently Feels Regarding Erica Mena’s Insults
As the singer continued, her explanation referenced the heated exchange with Erica Mena.
“Because someone’s opinion of me does not value who I am and not because someone thinks something of me, that doesn’t mean that’s who I am…”
Spice explained that she’s addressed the issue of colorism since a “few years ago.” Additionally, she explained that she is “Black and beautiful” and has never bleached her skin and is “proud” of her skin color.
“I’ve always reminded my melanated women how beautiful they are, to love themselves [for] who they are [so] someone can’t come and say a few words, and that’s going to get me into a mood, like, no,” Spice explained. “That doesn’t define me. I know who I am.”
Before concluding the subject, the “Queen of Dancehall” reiterated that she’s in a “better space” and that negative comments regarding colorism “don’t define her.”

The heated interaction between Erica Mena and Spice went viral Wednesday morning after the latest episode of ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ aired Tuesday evening. As The Shade Room previously reported, the episode left fans in shock at Spice and Mena’s heated exchange.
Some fans were unhappy with the singer chastising Erica Mena by saying that her eldest son doesn’t like her. However, the pair’s interaction ultimately left many fans disappointed in Mena for referring to Spice as a “blue monkey.”
Although the episode aired Tuesday evening, it appears the altercation between Mena and the dancehall artist took place earlier this year. As The Shade Room previously reported, in May, Spice took to Instagram to tell Mena that her ex-husband Safaree is her “karma.”
