Chile! Drake‘s Toronto home has gotten a lot of attention in the last 24 hours. A new report claims that local police took a man into custody after he attempted to trespass the rapper’s mansion.
This alleged incident comes after Drake’s security guard was shot outside of the same Toronto home on Tuesday (May 7). He has yet to address the incident on social media, but his team is reportedly cooperating with the investigation.
Drizzy also hasn’t addressed this latest incident, which TMZ first reported. According to the outlet’s “sources with direct knowledge,” a man tried to get past Drake’s black mansion gates on Wednesday (May 8). However, security outside the home stopped him before he could get on the property’s grounds.
Toronto police were once again called to Drake’s home. Security held the man until their arrival. TMZ reports that Toronto PD revealed to them that the man was “apprehended under the Mental Health Act.” It’s unclear if the man will face any charges, given that he was intercepted before entering the Embassy’s—as it’s nicknamed—gates.
At this time, it’s unclear if the man was having any sort of mental episodes. However, a local reporter claimed the man said he was at the Toronto home “to see Drake.”
Local police are still investigating the shooting that left a security guard injured outside of Drake’s Toronto home.
During a press conference on Tuesday, an inspector refused to clarify whether the accident was a drive-by or stop-and-shoot situation. They also didn’t confirm if more than one suspect was involved but said at least one fled the scene in a vehicle.
Despite allegedly obtaining surveillance video of the shooting, the cops have not released it, citing video quality concerns. That’s why they also haven’t released any descriptions of the car or person (s) who fled.
When police first arrived at the scene, they found a male security guard unconscious and bleeding from a gunshot wound. Emergency personnel transported him to the hospital in “serious condition,” where he reportedly underwent surgery.
As the news spread, folks online speculated whether Drake’s ongoing rap beef with Kendrick Lamar had anything to do with the shooting. As previously reported, K Dot used a photo of an aerial view of Drake’s Toronto home as the cover art for his latest diss track, ‘Not Like Us.’
However, we must note that the rapper did not reveal Aubrey’s Bridle Path neighborhood address. It has long been one of the worst-kept secrets among locals. Click the related link below to see why.
