Roommates, if you’ve been keeping track, Soulja Boy and Drake have had an ongoing beef for a while now—and things recently went up a notch thanks to Bow Wow. After Drake recently publicly thanked Bow Wow by stating that he wouldn’t have a career if it weren’t for him, Soulja Boy officially entered the chat and was not having it…because he claims Drake got his career by stealing his entire style.
Earlier this week, many Bow Wow fans were pretty pleased when Drake took to social media to make it very clear that not only is Bow Wow a legend in the hip hop game—he also made it possible for Drizzy to have the incredibly successful career he has today.
Well Soulja Boy was definitely not here for it and called out Drake in a major way, by accusing him of biting his rap flow. He tweeted his disagreement, writing “That n***a drake is hilarious. Dude stole my whole bar then thanked bow wow.”
Drake was recently Houston with Bow Wow and his OVO crew when he openly showed love to Bow Wow. “If it wasn’t for you, it wouldn’t be no me. That’s why I’ma rock with y’all forever,” he said.
You’ll recall that the long-simmering issues between Soulja Boy and Drake date back to early 2019, when he claimed that Drizzy stole his flow word-for-word on his first single. He also added to the drama when he infamously went on “The Breakfast Club” and stated that he “taught Drake everything he knows.”
As of now, Drake has not publicly responded to Soulja Boy’s comments.
