We have all heard about women stealing each other’s looks on the red carpet, but never literally stealing a whole entire dress! Well that is exactly what happened to the beautiful actress, Lupita Nyong’o, Oscar night!
If you watched the star studded award show that took place this past Sunday, you would have seen Lupita killing the fashion game once again in a $150,000 Francisco Costa for Calvin Klein gown that was decked with over 6,000 various sized pearls. It was truly the talk of the night!
Well sources say that around 9pm, while Lupita was out of her hotel room, her dress was stolen. Her representatives reported the dress missing to authorities around 11:30pm. Lupita was reportedly present when the authorities arrived.Detectives are still canvassing the hotel in search for evidence, including whether surveillance footage would reveal what happened to the gown.
Only her second time at the Academy Awards, this is definitely far from the joy Lupita experienced at her first appearance at the Oscars last year, when she wore a beautiful light blue Prada gown and accepted the award for Best Supporting Actress in her role of 12 Years A Slave.
Hopefully her gown is found in one piece!
