Solange Knowles is by far one of the most giving and kind-spirited artist out there. What better way to give back to the youth than to start a make-up line that will help improve your skin too? She is celebrating her 10th anniversary make-up line with Kiehls, a skin-care line that also donates money to children’s education.
The singer, song-writer and all-around funky aesthetic fashionista, has launched a skin-care line with Kiehls in honor of her 10th anniversary collaboration with the designer make-up line, according to Hollywood Reporter.
The make-up line is a limited edition package that helps renew your skin’s natural balance. It is stated on kiehls.com as a “powerful anti-wrinkle treatment.” Fundings for purchasing this product and $25,000 will go to three charities that the Indie-soul singer is supporting: donorschoose.org, ‘Son of a Saint,’ and ’14 + Foundation Inc.’
The coolest part is who ever purchases this product will get an additional $25 code that can be used to support any foundations provided on donations choose.org.
“Education should not be a privilege, but a right that every child deserves, and I couldn’t be more excited to now have a partnership with Kiehl’s to support this belief,” Solange said at a press conference.
Now we see why Mrs. Tina Lawson is so proud of her ambitious little girl, as she made an announcement on Instagram on Oct. 1st at a “Women’s Empowerment” conference in Houston, Texas as her Mom gave an award to Solange.
Evidently, the same day Lawson announced her proud mommy status through social media, Solange launched the 10th anniversary partnership with Kiehls on October 1, 2015.
All foundations that Solange is giving back to is definitely an amazing outlook for the youth and our young generation, but one foundation seems like it is a very touchy subject, but a remarkable one as she gives back to her area of residence, New Orleans; a charity called ‘Son of a Saint’ which helps mentor young boys without a father figure until they receive their college acceptance.
“Over the last decade, I’ve had the honor to work alongside many wonderful people doing outstanding work in all facets of education and I look forward to continue working with incredible organizations such as 14 Plus who are building schools from the ground up in Zambia, and New Orleans’ inspiring mentorship program for young men who have lost their fathers, Son of a Saint,” Solange also said.
The product line is only available at Kiehl’s Flagship stores in New York, “The Grove” in Los Angeles and on Kiehls.com.
