Social media is sharing mixed reactions after Yung Miami further detailed her and JT‘s decision to go their separate ways.
As The Shade Room previously reported, Yung Miami initially opened up about her and JT’s split during a May interview with Complex, which was published in June. At the time, the rapper explained that she and JT were in “two different spaces” during the October 2023 release of their latest album, ‘RAW.’
“And I felt like naturally, when she doing her own thing, it just worked for her. And when I’m doing my own thing, it worked for me,” she told the outlet. “But when we get together as a group, it just wasn’t connecting. It just wasn’t working no more.”
During the August 8 premiere of her podcast ‘Caresha Please,’ Miami further detailed her and JT’s musical split. The rapper explained that there “came a point” where the City Girls “weren’t making no money.”
“And I was just like, ‘I gotta figure something out,'” she explained. “Because I do got kids and that’s what really made me really start Resha Roulette… ’cause I just felt like the group wasn’t hitting no more.”
Ultimately, Miami explained that things between her and JT “ain’t all good, but it’s not all bad either.”
“It’s nothing going on. She went her own way, I went my own way, and that’s just where we at,” she said.
