Social media users are sharing their reactions after Tia Mowry and her ex-husband Cory Hardrict went viral. As The Shade Room previously reported, the pair finalized their divorce in April 2023 after being married for 14 years.
Mowry and Hardrict each appeared at the Essence Black Women In Hollywood Awards on Thursday, March 7. While stopping for interviews on the red carpet, the former couple found themselves standing next to one another.
Mowry looked over to Hardrict and waved with a friendly smile.
From there, the ex-couple extended their arms to one another. Hardrict appeared to hesitate before embracing Mowry. However, Mowry warmly leaned into his arms.
The pair each shared one-armed hugs and then stepped away from each other to resume their interviews.

As The Shade Room previously reported, Mowry filed for divorce from Hardrict in October 2022. At the time, the actor listed their reason for separation as irreconcilable differences.
In December 2022, Mowry seemingly stunned fans when she shared that despite their divorce, the pair would still spend holidays together for their children.
“We are going to be spending the holidays with him, which we’re really excited about,” she told a TMZ reporter at the time. “I mean, family is family. No matter what happens. And that’s what’s important to be me so we will always be family.”
For the 2022 Christmas holiday, Mowry stood true to her words and shared a photo of her, Hardrict, and their two children, per The Shade Room.
On April 24, 2023, the pair finalized their divorce, per The Shade Room. The former couple settled on sharing joint custody of their children and reportedly discussed “marriage or domestic partnership rights, including support.”
Then, in June 2023, the pair went viral for reportedly setting a guideline for how they’ll introduce new romantic partners to their kids.
