Social media users believe Nicki Minaj has shared words for Megan Thee Stallion following the release of the rapper’s latest single, ‘Hiss.’
Earlier this week, Megan took to Instagram and announced the release date for her new single, ‘Hiss,‘ to be Friday, January 26.
Then, early Friday morning, Megan’s new single was released. During the three-minute and twelve-second track, the rapper took aim at all of the people who used her name to get “24 hours of attention.”
Megan’s initial bars seemed to refer to ex-boyfriend Pardison Fontaine. As The Shade Room previously reported, the rapper seemingly accused her ex of cheating on her when she released ‘Cobra‘ in November 2023. Later that month, Pardi responded with his own track, ‘Thee Person.’ In the song, he accused Megan of telling “half-truths” and having a “disgusting” soul. Then, he seemingly went on a press tour, divulging more intimate details about their relationship.
In ‘Hiss,’ Megan rapped about someone who couldn’t let her go and later accused other female rappers of wanting to sound like her.

Megan’s bars quickly set the internet streets ablaze with a plethora of reactions.
Soon after Megan’s release, the ‘Pink Friday’ rapper took to Instagram Live to preview a new song for fans.
In the preview, Minaj rapped about a female she refers to as “Big Foot” and “Lying Lipo.” Then, the rapper goes on to laugh about someone who won three Grammys but “can’t find the beat.” According to the award show’s official website, Megan Thee Stallion has been nominated for six Grammy awards and won three.

Additionally, in a separate clip, Nicki appeared to taunt someone she says will be running on their “good foot for the rest” of their days. As The Shade Room previously reported, Megan Thee Stallion experienced injuries to her foot in 2020 after allegedly being struck by bullet fragments from a gun fired by Tory Lanez.
Nicki Minaj appeared to cap off her comments by taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, with one last word. The rapper tweeted, “R O M A N.”
The mention seemingly refers to one of the alter-ego rap personas, who has come to be known for their unforgiving bars. According to Fandom, Minaj first unveiled Roman in her verse on ‘My Chick Bad,’ released in 2010. However, the rapper seemed to pause on using the alter-ego in 2014.
Minaj’s fans believe her tweet indicates the rap persona’s return.
Meanwhile, Megan Thee Stallion is seemingly finding amusement in all the chatter her ‘Hiss’ single has sparked online. Amid Minaj’s comments, the rapper returned to her Instagram Story with a selfie of her laughing.
To note, Megan Thee Stallion appeared on ‘The Breakfast Club’ before the release of her single. At the time, she noted that the song is addressed to anyone who wants to take offense, oop!
