Roommates, if there is one thing social media loves to do, it’s sparking an intense debate that goes viral—and that’s exactly what happened when someone compared singer Snoh Aalegra to the legendary Sade. In a tweet that quickly spread like wildfire, many chimed in with their take on whether or not Snoh Aalegra is this generation’s Sade.
Music fans are very protective of artists that they love and rarely hesitate to defend them at all costs. When a Twitter user posted a tweet that read, “Snoh Aalegra is our Sade,” the comments immediately began to pour in.
Many Sade fans did not agree with the comparison between the R&B/soul legend and relative Swedish newcomer Snoh Aalegra, while others believed that the similarity between the two ladies was only due to looks, acknowledging their physical resemblance.
However, a few agreed with the comparison and stated that Snoh has all the components to carry the torch that Sade created.
Meanwhile, Snoh Aalegra stepped into The Shade Room and made her own comment about the ongoing debate. “There’s only one Queen Sade Adu. There will never be another one. This comparison is so unnecessary. Respect the legend,” she wrote.
Snoh also just released her new album, ‘Temporary Highs In The Violet Skies,’ which is a follow-up to her widely celebrated album ‘Ugh, Those Feels Again’ that dropped back in 2019.
