Social media is cuttin’ up with jokes after a childhood photo of NBA YoungBoy surfaced online.
On Wednesday, May 22, The Shade Room shared a childhood photo of the rapper on Instagram. The photo appears to have originated from a stan account made in support of the rapper on X, formerly known as Twitter, @YoungBoyNews4KT. On February 11, 2023, the outlet shared the photo on the platform with the caption, “Old Picture Of NBA YoungBoy And His Family…”
The image shows a younger NBA YoungBoy wearing a striped shirt. In addition, he’s seen posing next to another young boy, an older girl, and a woman. At this time, YoungBoy’s mother, Sherhonda Gaulden, has not publicly reacted to the resurfaced photo or confirmed the individuals in the flick.
Despite the lack of confirmed information, social media users didn’t hold back on sharing their humorous reactions in The Shade Room’s comment section.
As The Shade Room previously reported, in April, the rapper similarly made headlines after sharing current family photos. At the time, YoungBoy’s family had recently celebrated the Easter holiday.
Additionally, the rapper shared photos of his wife, Jazlyn Mychelle, and their two children.
However, that wasn’t all. NBA YoungBoy surprised fans by including photos of people who appear to be his extended friends and family.

A few weeks after YoungBoy shared the family photos, things appeared to take an unexpected turn in his life. As The Shade Room previously reported, the rapper — who was already on house arrest in Utah — was arrested and taken into custody on April 16.
Initially, it was reported that the rapper’s charges included various drug and fraud offenses.
However, later that week, it was revealed that YoungBoy was charged with a total of 63 offenses, per The Shade Room. Most of the charges are related to what authorities believe was a “large-scale prescription fraud ring” conducted by the rapper and his associates.
According to The Advocate, YoungBoy posted a $100,000 bond before recently being moved to another jail in Utah. Currently, the rapper is being held without the option of bond as he has reportedly been declared a flight risk.
Additionally, the rapper’s charges appeared to have been consolidated to “one count of possession of a weapon by a restricted person and two counts of manufacturing or distributing controlled substances with a false license.”
The outlet adds that the rapper will remain in custody in Utah “until his trial there.” However, once that concludes, YoungBoy will reportedly be detained by federal authorities for the case related to his initial house arrest.
