Cordell Broadus, son of OG Snoop Dogg, announced that he’s quitting UCLA football to pursue an acting and producing career in Hollywood.
His mother Shante was recently stopped by one of TMZ’s camera men and was asked her opinion on her sons abrupt decision to leave.
“It’s his dream,” she said, “He’s gonna do what he wants to do and [football] isn’t what he wanted to do anymore. The decision was especially shocking, because Cordell was one of the top-ranked wide receivers in the country!
Everyone was so hyped when he was recruited, but if Cordell wants to take his plans elsewhere, then Shante is behind him 100%. She even told TMZ that Snoop is “rolling with his son” decision to pursue Hollywood.
As for this Straight Outta Compton movie, the camera man asked Shante since Ice Cube’s son played him, would Cordell play Snoop and she chuckles and said, “I don’t know, he might! That’s what he’s trying to do – pave his own way.”
Well, we’re excited for Cordell on his new endeavors! Roommates, do you think Cordell could play his dad really well in the rumored sequel to SOC? Tell us why in the comments!
