Snoop Dogg’s daughter, Cori Broadus, has taken to social media to share a health update with fans. As The Shade Room previously reported, Broadus has been very transparent about her health journey since revealing her diagnosis with lupus in 2020.
On Thursday, January 18, Broadus took to her Instagram Story to share a photo. The picture appeared to be taken from a bed in a hospital.
“I had a severe stroke this am… I started breaking down crying when they told me,” she wrote in the caption of the photo.
In the following slide, Broadus shared a photo of herself, presumably from her hospital bed, but used her caption to cover her face.
“Like I’m only 24 what did I do in my past to deserve all of this,” she added.
At this time, Broadus has not revealed any additional information about what prompted the medical event.
Social media users entered The Shade Room’s comment section to share their support and prayers for Broadus.
Instagram user @_flyerthanu wrote, “Prayers up for her & her family. She’s been dealing with a lot when it comes to her health. 😢🙏🏿”
As The Shade Room previously reported, Broadus revealed that she underwent a kidney biopsy in February 2023. At the time, she shared that “everything went well.” However, she learned that her lupus disease has progressed to stage three out of five.
According to the National Institutes of Health, lupus occurs when the immune system, which is made to protect the body from infections, attacks itself.
At the time, Broadus explained that stage three is mild. However, she needed to be consistent with checking her blood pressure every day.
