Fright Fest is one of the spookiest events thrown to commemorate Halloween and Six Flags definitely does disappoint. As part of the annual tradition, the theme park is continuing to ask customers to try scary challenges. This year, you get to bring your bae!
According to Fox 29 Philadelphia, as part of its “30-Hour Couples Coffin Challenge”, Six Flags is offering couples $600 to spend 30 hours in a coffin. This is the first year the challenge has extended to couples.
Significant others, however, are only allowed to accompany you in the coffin doing park operation hours. After the park closes, contestants will have to face the challenge alone.
“Well, not exactly alone, some of our Fright Fest ghouls will be lurking about in the darkness,” the event’s website says.”
Unfortunately for guess, no technology is allowed inside the coffin including smartphones, Apple watches, or headphones of any sort. Any person who gets out of their coffin will be automatically disqualified, with the exception of designated bathroom and meal breaks.
Each competitor will also get a “Get Out of the Coffin Free Card” to use for six minutes at any point during the challenge.
In addition to spending more than an entire day inside the coffin, contestants will also be required to participate in other spooky challenged like laying in a coffin covered in worms, going into a haunted house alone, and sticking their hand in a bucket to find a specific item.
The $600 prize isn’t the only thing contestants can look forward too. Six Flags is also offering the winning couple a pair of gold season possessor the 2020 season and a Fright Fest prize package.
If more than one couple is left at the end of the 30-hour challenge, “the remaining finalists will compete head-to-head with a spicy hot sauce sandwich eating contest,” the official rules state. The person to eat the entire sandwich the fasts will take home the grand prize.
