You’d think 10 years is enough to decide whether or not you want to marry someone –Apparently not to Miguel. He’s been with his girlfriend, Nazanin Mandi, on and off for a decade, and finally opens up as to why he hasn’t yet popped the big question.
“I think it’s more about working. The thing is, you got to know who you are as a person, first of all,” he said in a recent interview with Hot97, “I think I’ve come so far as a man and I’m just starting to feel solid where I an be like, ‘You know what? I think I can hold this down legitimately.’ I know people throw things around like marriage, I just wasn’t raised like that.”
Miguel explains that he doesn’t feel pressured to speed up the process, because he knows that when it’s time to commit, that’s exactly what he can and will do; until then, Nazanin has accepted the fact that he’s, as he put it, “wild at heart.”
“I’m wild at heart. I follow my instincts…I think she’s learned that and she’s had to adjust and had to learn and also embrace. And I love her more for that.”
Well it seems she’s learned acceptance as well as patience over the last decade.
Roommates, how long is too long for your guy to pop the question?
