Shannon Sharpe had Megan Thee Stallion come through for his latest ‘Club Shay Shay’ episode. During their chat, the sports-analyst-turned-podcast-host apologized to the Hot Girl Coach for his past inappropriate comments about her.

In a November 2023 episode of his and Chad Ochocinco’s ‘Nightcap’ podcast, Shannon spoke about having sexual relations with Megan. He claimed he’d have her “stretched out like a quarter to three” if given the chance. Continuing to press the topic, he said, “I’ll do it to her three ways, Ocho, deep, hard, and continuously.”
During the ‘Club Shay Shay’ episode with Megan, Shannon revealed that he “always wanted to sit down” and talk to her about his comment. He told her that he made “a joke…in jest.” Nonetheless, he admitted that his words were inappropriate.
“I believe the joke wouldn’t been just as funny if I would’ve left you out of it,” he said as Megan sat across from him. “So for any unwanted attention, harm, shame, embarrassment that I caused you or your family, I wanna say as a man, as I sit here before you, I apologize,” Shannon Sharpe shared.
With a smile, Megan replied, “I appreciate that, thank you”. He added, “You’ve been amazing and you have an amazing career going forward,” then they toasted to the moment with a shot of cognac. Watch his apology below.
Amid Shannon Sharpe holding himself accountable with Megan, Yung Joc has done the same. The rapper and radio host said on Atlanta’s ‘Streetz Morning’ show for not supporting her during Tory Lanez’s trial.
As previously reported, Joc had placed a bet to shave his head bald if Tory was convicted in her July 2020 shooting. After his guilty verdict in December 2022, Joc followed through on the bet.
“Meg, I apologize for not just supporting you in your moment and believing in the whole situaiton with you and Tory Lanez,” Yung Joc said. “I still have questions, cause I’m human, and I think at the moment I made the bet maybe, just maybe…I was outta line for doing that.”
On ‘Club Shay Shay,’ Thee Stallion and Shannon Sharpe also discussed her new album ‘Megan,’ its first track, ‘HISS’ and her studio habits.
The Houston Hottie also discussed the challenges she’s faced in the music industry and the strong sisterhood bonds she’s formed, including working with artists like Victoria Monét, Beyoncé and Billie Eilish.
Speaking of bonding with other female artists, Megan recently took the stage at the 2024 BET Awards on June 30th. She had the first performance for the night, leaning heavily into the snake theme of her latest project.
Then, she later took the stage with GloRilla to perform their hit collaboration, ‘Wanna Be.’ It’s one of their most recent performances, given that they’ve also been touring the U.S. for the last few months.
