Shannade Clermont Talks About Her Prison Sentence And The Night Her ‘Sugar Daddy’ Passed Away

Shannade Clermont, one-half of the Clermont Twins, is preparing to serve her time after being sentenced to one year behind bars. She recently opened up about her sentencing, the night her “sugar daddy” passed away, and what she’s planning to take away from this experience in a new interview with The New York Post’s Page Six.

Shannade is scheduled to turn herself into authorities on June 4th after pleading guilty to wire fraud for stealing debit-card information from James Alesi, who she described to the site as her “sugar daddy.” As you all may know, he passed away from an overdose following their date.

She opened up and told her side of what happened and said, “He wasn’t asleep when I left — he was just drunk. I have never been around people who have been on heavy drugs, so I didn’t really know. It was like, ‘Oh, he was a drunk mess.’ I was annoyed . . . [I thought] he was playing games. So I just left.”

Shannade admitted to taking his credit card and making luxury purchases, however, she didn’t know about his passing until later on.

She continued to say, “From the outside looking in, it looks like I knew he was dead and was like ‘haha’ . . . and that’s really sick.” Shannon Clermont was also present during the interview and said it was also “sick” for people to think her sister knew Alesi passed away and didn’t call 911.

Shannade continued, “The thing was, he was known as a sugar daddy — very known. He’s not, like, an innocent person.”

The twin sisters, who got their big break on the reality show, “The Bad Girls Club,” wanted to reiterate that there is more to them than just what people see on social media.

Shannon said, “We want people to think of us as fashion creatives. We are entrepreneurs, we are models, we do runway [shows], we do music videos, we do campaigns. We work hard.”

Shannade is due to report to a low-security prison in Los Angles, and she shared some thoughts ahead of serving her time.

“I think I want to actually learn some law because I feel like I was misinformed about this whole process, she said.

She also added, “I feel like this may have happened for a reason. God already has his plan, and I’m just going to the path and living it. Look at T.I. and Gucci Mane. Many people have been incarcerated and they come out stronger. Look at Martha Stewart.”
