Sergeant Jewel Scott has used social media to her advantage to document alleged issues at the third largest military base in the world. Sgt. Scott, stationed at Ft. Hood in Killeen, TX, went viral last week when she shared a video on Instagram addressing alleged harassment and retaliation. In addition, she claimed that she feared for her life and stated if she came up missing or wound up dead, someone had done something to her. Fort Hood responded to her claims on Sunday, as we previously reported.
While Sgt Scott gains support online, yesterday, she took to Instagram to document another issue with the military after being detained after attempting to return to her post on Ft. Hood. Sergeant Jewel Scott Advises People To Stop Listening To “False Narratives” After She Was Detained While Attempting To Return To Post
“About Five police cars are here. They stopped me,” she said on her Instagram story.
Before being taken away by military police, she instructed the passenger who was with her at the time, Soldier Isaiah Smith, to live stream the incident.
As he sat in the vehicle, he explained to viewers that the Sgt. Scott had been transported to the restroom with officers. He also revealed that the pair attempted to enter the base and when Sgt. Scott scanned her badge to grant access and was flagged for some reason. Things escalated during the live once an officer approached Isaiah and instructed him to stop recording, which he did not.
The soldier, still recording, exited the vehicle and was detained for not obeying commands. Shortly after, Isaiah was released and updated everyone on Instagram about Sgt Scott.
“According to military personnel seen on the live, she is safe.” Today, Sgt Scott also spoke out following her detainment. On Instagram, she wrote, “Please stop listening to this false narrative. It has not been one day where they have not contacted me or seen me within 24hours.
