Serena Williams is goals for a lot of things. Her athleticism, her beauty, that bawdy–and of course that bank account, okay!
In an interview with Uninterrupted, the mom to be talked about how she never “actually played for money” because she was never thinking about a check. She apparently just “thought you would go out there and hold a trophy.”
Serena said she remembers how she went through the drive through to deposit some shmoney. There’s nothing out of the ordinary there, besides the fact that homegirl was trying to deposit a million dollar check. Meanwhile, I’m still waiting for my friend to run me that club entrance fee I paid for but I’ll be humble…
When asked what the feeling was like when she got her first million dollar check, Serena responded, “I never touched it. I just put it in the bank, and I remember I went through the drive through to deposit my check and they were like ‘I think you need to come in for this’ so I ended up going inside.” She added that she wishes she would’ve taken a picture of it but unfortunately, selfies didn’t exist then.
