As Serena Williams continues to build her legacy in tennis, she is already helping to shape her daughter’s skills on the tennis court.
Serena has been open about her daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr.‘s early start in tennis, and in a recent video shared to Alexis’ Instagram account, it looks like baby girl will be a champion in no time on the court.
Although the video is no more than two seconds, that was enough time to show that at the age of four, Alexis is already developing an impressive form. While holding the tennis racket, she showed her ability to hit the ball with such force. The video was captioned, “Practice makes progress.”
Last year, Serena appeared on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” and she spoke about Alexis’ interest in the sport and said, “She’s a perfectionist on the court. I’m not quite sure where she got that from, but yeah, she loves it. I never thought I would let my daughter play tennis, but then during this pandemic, it was the only thing that we could do safely so I’m like, well, tennis it is.”
Serena has shared cute mommy-and-me moments of her and Alexis on social media, including their time together on the tennis court.
