For years, Sean Kingston has been in the news for allegedly not paying for his jewelry. Now, it looks like it may have caught up with him.
According to court docs, he has been charged with Grand Theft for allegedly having an unpaid jewelry tab, @tmz_tv reports. Consequently, a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
“Sean Kingston’s jewelry issues are now worse than ever — this time there’s a warrant out for his arrest due to an allegedly unpaid tab … TMZ has learned. The singer and songwriter’s been charged with grand theft … according to court records.”
According to TMZ, the songwriter allegedly had jewelry delivered to him but hasn’t paid the tab.
“Our law enforcement sources tell us Sean had some jewelry delivered to him, but has yet to pay for the goods…”
Based on reports, the police don’t plan to go and arrest the songwriter, but if he gets stopped he may be taken into custody.
“It’s interesting … our sources tell us cops don’t plan to actively track down Sean, but the warrant is in their system. Basically, he better not get pulled over.”
Earlier this year, it was reported that Sean was going to start his own boxing league, according to The Blast. Sean Kingston and Triple The Mogul have personally invested $10 million each and have raised nearly $50 million for PRBL in total so far.
Chile, I hope he gets this resolved ASAPidly.
