Angila Baxter Admitted To Shooting Her Gun At Random Vehicles Before Allegedly Striking Victim
According to an affidavit, less than 30 minutes after the deputies arrived at Collier’s scene, a man flagged down authorities to report that a woman in a red SUV was shooting at people driving past her. He also reported that his own vehicle had been struck by the gunfire.
A third victim later approached the deputies saying that while driving on a nearby road, a woman in a red SUV stopped next to her and said “Why the (expletive) are you following me? Who are you?” before the victim drove off. The victim then heard two thumps from the back of her vehicle, later determined to be from gunfire.
Reportedly Baxter admitted to investigators that she shot at the vehicles because she thought they were following her and she was attempting to “scare them” away. The evidence analyzed by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement on Thursday revealed that the bullet from Collier’s body had been fired from Baxter’s Taurus.
When shown a photo of Collier, Baxter told investigators that she did not know her.
