Whew! America’s favorite husband, father and Seattle Seahawk Russell Wilson is saying goodbye to the space needle and hello to the rocky mountains, as team officials have come to an agreement to trade the QB on Tuesday.
According to NFL Insider Jason La Canfora, Wilson will be traded to the Denver Broncos this upcoming season. While the trade has been agreed upon, it will only become official after Wilson undergoes a physical and approves the move. CBS sports reports that Russell Wilson does have the option to veto the trade, but the Seahawks are hoping he won’t.
In exchange for Russell Wilson, the Broncos are reportedly giving up two first-round picks, two second-round picks and a fifth-round pick from their roster. The trade, however, does have its perks for Denver. The franchise has finally acquired the quarterback it’s been seeking since Peyton Manning retired.

Russell Wilson has had a strong career the last 10 seasons as part of the Seattle Seahawks, and is one of the few NFL players in history to play for the same team for such a long period of time. During his time with the Seahawks, Wilson added one Super Bowl title, nine Pro Bowl selections and more wins than any quarterback in the league to his resume.
Aside from his accomplishments on the field, Russell made history as the league’s highest paid NFL player back in 2019. As we previously reported, Russ signed a 4-year $140 million extension with the Seahawks. Since then, he’s been focused on football and family.
