Get it, girl! It’s rare when folks on the Internet have a change of heart after publicly calling out any artist they feel makes music that is not up to par. Today Rubi Rose started to trend after she was featured in XXL’s 2021 Freshman Class Cypher. Rubi, along with Flo Milli, 42 Dugg, and Pooh Shiesty, brought the heat and bars, leaving the folks on the innanet with no other choice than to discuss what they heard.
Folks immediately tweeted about Rubi, giving her the recognition she deserves. One tweet in particular that went viral was, “Ya’ll owe Rubi Rose an apology. No cap.” The tweet seemed to resonate with Rubi because she reposted a tweet on her Instagram story that she was trending and wrote “Ya’ll owe me an apology,” with the crying emoji. XXL even commended Rubi on her artistry and reposted the apology tweet on the ‘gram while asking their followers if she had one of the best freestyles.
It seems like all week XXL’s 2021 Freshman Class freestyles have been a topic of discussion. As we have recently reported, Coi Leray’s freestyle was also trending days ago as many criticized her rapping ability. Coi responded to the backlash on her social media platforms and even went live declaring that she had one of the best freestyles in the cypher. During Coi’s freestyle, LaKeyah, DDG, and Morray also shared the stage with her. Many felt like the shine was focused on Coi when it should’ve been on Lakeyah, as people felt like she had one of the best freestyles.
One Twitter user wrote, “Sad that Lakeyah was one of the best in the cypher, but everyone talking about Coi Leray horrible XXL freestyle.”
Roommates, which freestyle do yall think went the hardest?
