Robyn Dixon has shared a major announcement about her time on ‘Real Housewives of Potomac.’
According to PEOPLE, Dixon confirmed that she will be exiting the show after eight seasons. The 45-year-old reportedly made the announcement during the latest episode of her podcast, ‘Reasonably Shady.’ The show was reportedly released on Monday, April 15.
Additionally, Dixon explained that she was not invited back on the show or — “for lack of better words” — fired.
The 45-year-old explained that she wouldn’t “sugar-coat” the circumstances, and the Bravo network ultimately made the decision.
“Yes, I will not be returning for season 9 of ‘The Real Housewives of Potomac,'” Dixon explained. “It’s reality. The network did not invite me back. I was fired, for lack of better words. I will not sugar-coat the situation the situation and say, ‘Ooh, I am walking away, and this is a break’ or anything like this. This is a network decision.”
Despite her abrupt exit, Dixon reportedly told her co-host Gizelle Bryant, who also stars on ‘RHOP,’ that she’s “okay.”
“I’m okay with it because nothing lasts forever. I’ve had a very long run on the show, and I just really appreciate that time and the opportunity that I had on the show,” she continued. “Thank you to the fans who have watched us from day 1… all of the fans and viewers who have supported me, showed loved to me… I appreciate you. And I hope I inspired you the viewers, the fans, to live your life authentically. To not feel pressure to change for anyone, or impress people, and just to be yourself.”
Social media users shared mixed reactions to Dixon’s exit from the show in The Shade Room’s comment section.
Instagram user @drjai_17 wrote, “I knew Robyn was fired the second Juan Dixon Andy realized wasn’t at the reunion and he didn’t have anything else to do. They are a season too late with this…”
Dixon isn’t the only star who won’t be returning to ‘RHOP.’ According to theJasmineBRAND, Nneka Ihim has reportedly been fired from the series as well. The outlet reports that Ihim is now the third person who won’t be returning to the show.
In addition to Ihim and Dixon, Candiance Dillard Basset reportedly announced her exit last month.
Most recently, Ihim appeared as a guest on ‘Stepping Into The Shade Room.’ The former ‘RHOP’ spilled the tea on colorism accusations against the cast and her beef with particular stars on the show.
