Rihanna just celebrated her 29th birthday, and she continues to reach new heights within her career.
According to Billboard, Riri is now the third person to have the most Top 10 hits on Billboard’s Hot 100. She recently was tied with Michael Jackson as they both had 29 hit singles each, but that all came to an end when her single “Love On The Brain,” went from No. 13 to No. 8.
Madonna currently holds the number one spot with a total of 38 Top 10 Hits on Billboard’s Hot 100, and The Beatles follow with a total of 34.
Billboard reports that Rihanna made her introduction into the Top 10 back in July of 2005 with her hit single, “Pon De Replay.” She would go on to have other Top 10 hits such as, “Umbrella,” “Rude Boy,” “Diamonds,” and a host of others.
It only took her 10 years, seven months and two weeks to tally 30 Top 10 hits. It took Madonna 12 years, eight months and two weeks to reach her 30th Top 10, and it only took The Beatles five years and nine months.
Congrats to Rihanna on this new milestone, it’s only a matter of time before she moves past 30 hits in the Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot 100.
