The name of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s second son has reportedly been revealed. According to The Blast, the infant’s name follows suit of his brother, RZA’s, and begins with an “R.”
Additionally, the baby boy’s name is speculated to pay tribute to one of his father’s hit songs.
According to the baby boy’s birth certificate, reportedly obtained by the outlet, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s second son’s name is Riot Rose Mayers. Additionally, the outlet reports that the infant was born on August 1 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles at 7:41 a.m.
Furthermore, The Blast also adds that Riot Rose Mayers was delivered by OB-GYN Thais Aliabadi, who also delivered children for Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner.
At this time, Rihanna nor A$AP Rocky have shared a photo of their second son.
As mentioned above, the infant’s name is speculated to mirror a recently released song, “Riot,” from A$AP Rocky. The song features fellow artist and fashion designer Pharrell Williams.
In the song, the rapper references a “new collab” with his “baby mom,” Rihanna. Additionally, he remarks on starting a riot while living, growing, and learning.
“New collab’ with my baby mom (woo, woo, woo) We grow, we learn, we live (woo, woo)
I might start a riot (woo, woo, woo) We grow, we learn, we live (woo, woo, woo) Opposite of quiet (woo, woo, woo) We grow, we learn (woo, woo)…”
Social media users have taken to X since reports of the infant’s name went public. Many appear to be sharing their humorous reactions to the name.
As The Shade Room previously reported, TMZ initially broke the story that Rihanna gave birth on August 21. At the time, the outlet reported that the couple’s second son was born on August 3.
Additionally, the outlet was unable to confirm whether the singer delivered the baby at a hospital or via home birth.
In May, the “Diamonds” singer revealed that her second pregnancy was “so different” from her first with son RZA Athelston Mayers, as per The Shade Room.
“It’s so different from the first one… Just everything… no cravings, tons of nausea, everything’s different…”
However, despite the differences, the 35-year-old added that she was “enjoying it” and feeling “good” and “energetic.”
As The Shade Room previously reported, Rihanna revealed she and A$AP Rocky were expecting their second child during her Super Bowl halftime performance in February.
At the time, the singer had given birth to their first son, RZA, nine months prior, in May 2022.
