Ricky Rozay is joining the extensive list of rappers who dabble in the film/tv business; except he’s taking it a step further. Like Ice Cube and 50 Cent, he’s going from behind the mic to behind the pen.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Ross made his announcement of entering another leg of the entertainment world. He says he’s been working on a screenplay called “GABOS,” a “Miami Vice” and “Narcos” inspired project.
“GABOS,” which stands for “Game Ain’t Based On Sympathy” is supposedly a compilation of “recollections” from Ross’ life experiences. Not too many plot details beyond that were offered, but we do know that he plans to play a central role!
Can y’all imagine bawse Ross acting?!
Well according to him, “The only thing better than a double-cross is a triple-cross.”
True!
Anyways, “GABOS” is only set to be a film as of now, but if y’all know anything about how the bawse gets down, the fun won’t stop there.
“I feel it’s too big to be one film,” he said. “I feel we should film it, break it down and make it a series, if we can.”
The way he was taking in the interview, a follow-up series wouldn’t be impossible. Ross insinuated that the writing process is “easy,” especially for this project in particular.
“Writing a film, you can bring it all to life, whether it’s for yourself or another character in a film,” he said.
How are y’all feeling about this, roomies?! Let’s chat!
