Longtime Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss Tucker is letting it be known that she is not planning on having an on-camera sit-down with Phaedra Parks anytime soon.
In fact, Kandi declares that she doesn’t owe Phaedra “a mother***ing thing!”
Kandi acknowledged the subject during the latest installment of her Speak On It YouTube series, which aired after the new episode of RHOA on Sunday night (Aug. 13).
While chatting with Burruss, this week’s cohost — Jay from @UrbanSoulSuite — mentioned how some fans “feel like [Kandi owes] Phaedra a conversation.”
Longtime fans will know that Kandi and Phaedra’s relationship abruptly imploded at the Season 9 Reunion. Namely, it was revealed that Parks was behind the devastating rumor that Burruss wanted to take advantage of Porsha Williams.
The shocking revelation marked Phaedra’s exit from the series. However, she recently starred on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip and made a cameo appearance on The Real Housewives of Dubai. While Kandi and Phaedra remain estranged, Burruss and Porsha are on good terms.
It’s also worth adding that NeNe Leakes reacted to the revelation by saying, “Phaedra’s been doing stuff like this. She just got caught with these girls.”
With the matter being put on the table, Kandi said that Phaedra “will never get s**t” from her.
“I don’t owe her s**t, and I will say that to anybody. Not a mother**king thing. I don’t owe her s**t. She will never get s**t from me.”
After acknowledging that fans are “never gonna get” a meet-up between the pair, Kandi declared, “You can’t defend yourselves against blatant liars or people who are so spiteful that [they] would make up anything to tear you down and then hide.”
She also acknowledged that the “type of accusations” that Phaedra levied against her “have totally ruined some people.”
“First of all, [regarding] those accusations, people want to bring those up every year. … We all know those type of accusations totally stick with you for life and have totally ruined some people. Now, thank God that I was able to turn the situation around and it didn’t ruin me.”
Kandi Burruss didn’t end there, as she also openly accused Phaedra of meddling with her liquor license back in her early days as a restauranteur.
“During the middle of the reunion that year, she was like, ‘How’s everything going with your restaurant?’ … For some reason, [the liquor license] hadn’t been signed off on. And when she did that, I knew she had something to do with it. Because she was cool with the person who had to sign off at that time.”
So, Kandi says she deduced that Phaedra was trying to interfere with her life “outside of the show.”
“It’s one thing for you to try to tear me down on the show. But then you’re also trying to affect my life and my business outside of the show. And that’s when I was like, ‘That’s dangerous.’ … [Phaedra] will be pulling strings and doing everything [she] can to destroy me even when it has nothing to do with the show.”
As a result, she’s perplexed by people expecting them to hash the matter out at this point.
She was sure also to acknowledge that it took her “a long time” to reconcile with Porsha, and it started with Williams admitting that the situation “wasn’t right.”
“At least that was a step to go forward. But the other one, she still be over here acting like she ain’t did nothing.”
Ultimately, Kandi ended by acknowledging that she was happy for Phaedra and her professional pursuits. However, she’d prefer to keep her distance.
“I am happy that she’s on television. I’m happy that she’s doing her thing. I just don’t want to do it together.”
