REPORT: T.J. Holmes & Amy Robach Lawyer Up Against ABC News, And Race Might Be At Center Of Their Potential Case

Disgraced Good Morning America hosts T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach have allegedly hired attorneys in an effort to lawyer up against the show’s parent company, ABC News, and race is said to be at the center of their potential case.

Sources with insider knowledge tell TMZ that the pair have yet to be informed on why they were taken off the air a month ago after news of their workplace tryst went public.

Holmes, Robach Hire Attorneys In An Effort To Seek Why ABC Removed Them From On-Air

The outlet reports that both Holmes and Robach are confused and frustrated at the fact that ABC brass initially announced the two would not face any kind of disciplinary actions in spite of the scandal.

However, the company eventually pulled an about-face, and handed down punishment that saw the duo removed from on-air duties.

The two attorneys are reportedly looking for answers, first and foremost, as to why the pair were punished and taken off-air. Sources tell TMZ that if ABC keeps T.J. and Amy off the air or fires them, their attorneys will be ready to file suit.

Race Could Be At The Center Of Disgraced GMA Hosts’ Lawsuit, Should They File A Case Against ABC

The source told the outlet that race may be at the center of their potential.

“Has ABC ever used the morals or conduct clause to fire or discipline two consenting adults at equal levels when both were white?” the source told TMZ.

The sources added that it would be very revealing should ABC invoke the morals clause – as this would be the first time they would be doing so – and with a Black and white anchor at that.

TMZ reports that the damage for Holmes and Robach could have vast consequences for their careers should they remain disciplined or further punished by the network.

“Are You Supposed To Inform Your Boss When You Catch Feelings?” Inside Source Says

One source told the outlet that the only thing the pair can think of that could have irked ABC was not informing the network of their relationship before the scandal broke.

“Are you supposed to inform your boss when you catch feelings?” the source rhetorically asked.
