Reginae Carter is “not tied” to a man, including her prison-bound ex-boyfriend YFN Lucci. The 25-year-old clarified her relationship status via social media on Wednesday (Jan. 24).
Reginae spoke after fans questioned whether she would hold Lucci down during his bid. The ‘Destined’ rapper agreed to a plea of 10 years in prison. However, three years will count as time served because he has been in custody since surrendering in Jan. 2021.
“I hate doing this, but some ppl are confused. I’m not tied to no man. I’m single. I’m tired of the speculations. And I’m not looking back. At all. Send me everything new!”

On X (formerly Twitter), some fans showered her with love and encouragement for the new year in her comment section.
YFN Lucci aside, Reginae popped out with her most recent ex-boyfriend, Ar’mon Warren, in December. In the video below, the former pair shared a kiss on the lips.
Meanwhile, in The Shade Room’s comment section, the roommates kept the same encouraging energy while also drawing a connection between her post and Lucci’s sentence.

This isn’t the first time Reginae has clarified she’s not interested in dating an imprisoned man. In an Oct. 2022 episode of ‘Stepping Into The Shade Room,’ Reginae admitted that she briefly supported Rayshawn Bennett when he was first charged.
However, she said she never visited him in jail due to Covid-19 and her lack of interest in a man without his freedom.
“There comes a time [when] you are done, and you have to just walk away, and it was my time to walk away. I still wish the best for him. I feel like I have love for Ray, but I wanna live, I can’t do it with a man in jail, I’m sorry, I’m only 23 years old. But at the end of the day, I still wish the best for him,” Reginae said.
While Reginae isn’t here for dating a jailbird, WSB-TV reports that might not be the case for Lucci for too long. Given that he’s been locked up for three years already, he’ll be eligible for parole in three-and-a-half months. He could serve the remainder of his prison sentence from home if a judge grants parole.
Nonetheless, Lucci will have to remain on probation for an additional ten years after the prison sentence. In Lucci’s plea agreement, state prosecutors agreed not to intervene in his parole-seeking efforts with the board.
On Tuesday, before his sentencing, Lucci offered an apology to the court, his deceased friend, and both their families.
“First off, I want to say my heart goes out to my friend James Allen and his family. Also, I want to apologize to my family and friends for putting them through this stressful process. And I would also like to apologize to the court, and that’s it.”
