Ray J concerned fans after posting about suicidal thoughts and jumping off of a ledge in a series of videos where the “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood” star seemingly contemplated taking his own life.
In one video, the 41-year-old filmed himself on some kind of elevated surface as he zoomed in on a bright full moon, Page Six reports.
“If it wasn’t 4 my Kidz I would jump off and die tonight,” he captioned the since-deleted video on Thursday night.
In another clip, Ray J can be seen sitting on a ledge with his feet dangling over the edge as he pans to the ground below, asking fans if he should “just jump off and end it right now?!”
“SHOULD I JUST JUMP off and end it rit [sic]. Now!!! ????” he captioned the similarly-deleted video.
The singer, whose real name is William Ray Norwood Jr., also took to Instagram Stories and posted similarly unsettling videos and photos, captioning one video of the moon, “IF I DIE TONIGHT,” while adding in another video of the ground below him.
“Trying to figure it out – maybe this life was a illusion – maybe the next life was my real reality,” he said in one clip.
A source close to Ray J told Page Six that the singer is “fine” and that “everything is OK.” The source reportedly added that the videos were taken while “on vacation with Princess Love,” Ray J’s on-again, off-again wife.
“He thought about issuing an Instagram statement about it but changed his mind and is being vague,” the insider concluded.
Meanwhile, a representative for Ray J didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment on the matter.
The videos were taken down by Friday morning, however fans still expressed concern for the singer and media personality.
“Sending prayers of strength to Ray J & I hope he has people in his corner showering him with love and support,” one fan tweeted on Friday. “Prayers up for Ray J the world still need you,” another fan wrote.
“Damn I hope Ray J gets him some counseling so he can sort through those issues,” someone else offered.
“@RayJ bro remember #youurafighternotaquitter so keep fighting don’t let the media win let them know who @RayJ truly is,” another fan tweeted. “We love you Ray J. Everyone please keep Ray J in their prayers” tweeted a Brandy fan page.
In Ray J’s most recent posts, the singer kept his Instagram page focused mainly on his two children, a daughter Melody Love, 4, and a 2-year-old son he shares with Princess Love, Epik Ray.
He’s had a somewhat challenging last several months, which may have been a factor in his recent behavior.
In May, Ray J accused Kris Jenner and ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian of being in on the release of the former couple’s infamous 2007 sex tape.
The Kardashian clan remained quiet regarding the allegations for a few months until Jenner publicly denied the claim in a lie detector test she took on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” back in September.
The “Turnin’ Me On” singer replied with claims that they had actually filmed three sex tapes, and that he and Kim both received $400,000 from the sex tape contract.
