Raven-Symoné and her wife, Miranda Maday, are not buying Diddy‘s recent apology! Last weekend, the disgraced mogul reacted to the surfaced video of him beating on Cassie in a hotel hallway. Raven is one of the latest celebrities to comment on the 2016 assault and Sean Combs’ response.
Raven-Symoné Seemingly Suggests Diddy’s Abuse Allegations Are Not New
She and her wife discussed the topic during a new episode of their show, ‘The Best Podcast Ever.’ In it, Symoné claimed that Hollywood has BEEN whispering about Diddy’s “shenanigans” for a hot minute.
But first, she noted that the viral assault video is just one drop in Diddy’s bucket and highlighted the federal raids on his homes in March.
“There’s always been rumors in the industry of his shenanigans and it’s always been hush-hush, put underneath the rug and now things and windows are starting to open and people are starting to see in,” the actress said.
Note that Raven-Symoné has been in the entertainment industry for about 35 years. She got her start in the late 80s and early 90s when she appeared on ‘The Cosby Show’ as a child. She’s remained booked and busy since then, with one of her most notable roles being Raven Baxter on Disney Channel.
On her podcast, Raven also addressed Diddy’s apology. She and her wife seemed to agree that it was not genuine regarding the abuse. Instead, to them, it appeared to be a response to the “gotcha” aspect of the surfaced 2016 assault. Miranda said it felt “like the most insincere video,” while Raven-Symoné said his body language said a lot.
“Actually, I was reading his body language. I think he’s distraught because he knows his money is about to deplete. I think he’s apologetic,” Raven said.
Miranda jumped in, adding that Diddy isn’t apologetic for his abusive behavior to Cassie or other victims but because he got caught.
“I think he’s sorry that he got caught,” the ‘Raven’s Home’ actress added. “Yeah, fair.”
The actress also recalled watching a body language breakdown of Diddy’s apology video, especially noting the direction of his head nods. Raven-Symoné again said she thinks his apology is sincere but can’t be sure what Sean Combs was apologizing for.
Ultimately, they also discussed the situation’s power dynamics, the future of Diddy’s musical legacy, and Rae’s hopes for Cassie.

What’s Next For Diddy?
It’s been less than a week since CNN exclusively shared the now-viral video of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs dragging, kicking, and throwing things at Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel hallway.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office acknowledged the “extremely disturbing” footage. However, it is not pursuing any charges against Combs at this time. The attack happened over eight years ago, on March 5, 2016, which means its statute of limitations has expired. Additionally, the DA revealed that the Los Angeles Police Department had not presented a current case to pursue.

But the producer’s lawyer is likely working overtime given the piling sexual assault lawsuits, including another filed this week.
Meanwhile, as mentioned, reactions to the surveillance footage and his subsequent apologies continue to hit the internet.
His former bodyguard confirmed his alleged repeated abuse of Cassie. REVOLT has distanced themselves again after doing so in Nov. following Cassie’s now-settled lawsuit and early this year after the federal raids of his homes.
Joe Budden also went ham on Diddy, calling his apology attention-hungry and “tone-deaf.” His comments led to his ex-girlfriend Tahiry Jose claiming Joe once threw her down a flight of stairs, and the two exchanged heated words afterward in The Shade Room’s Instagram comments.
Even the mother of Diddy’s son, Justin Combs, added her two cents.
