#Roommates, weeks after his initial comments sparked a firestorm throughout the country, many are still discussing T.I.’s admission that he accompanies his 18-year-old daughter Deyjah to the gynecologist to check and make sure she is still a virgin. Finally, after weeks of silence, he addressed the issue of Jada Pinkett Smith’s “Red Table Talk”—but apparently rapper Rah Digga wants to share her opinion on the matter.
Practically everyone slammed T.I.’s comments about his daughter Deyjah’s virginity, but he now has some celebrity support in the form of former Flipmode Squad rapper Rah Digga. Rah recently went on social media and not only publicly supported T.I.’s actions—but she also admitted that she did the same “hymen check” with her own daughter.
In a series of tweets, she addressed the recently announced bill set to ban virginity checks:
“Well I did it and guess what? When I found out she wasn’t anymore did I berate her..No. Did I kick her out the house..No. I was able to have a convo where she openly told me what it was. And i emphasized being safe. And life went on…So on top of it being criminal for parents to discipline their children they’re trying to make it criminal to monitor their sex lives? FOH!! I STAND WITH @Tip. I know my Twitter bro lol. I have no problem being on an island w/ this one. I ain’t letting yall shame TI out of being an overprotective Dad. Nope. When you have a son you have 1 penis to worry about. When you have a daughter you have EVERYBODY penis to worry about. So the day she turned 18 he went from being an overprotective Dad to pervert? Because any vaginas still in MY house that I gotta provide for are getting policed. Straight like that. All I know is the thought of my Dad finding out about a sex life kept my ass a virgin till I was 19. THANK YOU DAD!!! I dunno what erbody else talmbout…”
As expected, her comments definitely did not go over well with social media users—and Rah Digga seemed totally fine with that.
Roommates, what are your thoughts on this?
