#Roomies, 2018 just started and #RachelDolezal is already out here doing the most. This time, she’s selling a “protest” hoodie to counter H&M’s racist ad depicting a black child model wearing a “Coolest Monkey In The Jungle” hoodie. Instead, her version says “Coolest Prince In the Hood.”
In a now-deleted Instagram post, Rachel explained her motives, claiming she “had to” do it because her son was called a “monkey” in the second grade.
“After educating the school officials about the historical context of the slur & demanding they operate under a zero tolerance policy for this type of harassment, the student was suspended,” she wrote. “But, due to his parents being “offended” that he was disciplined for calling my son a racial slur, they pulled him from public school and homeschooled him.” She continued, “This hits home with many of us moms, I’m sure… So, I spent today designing this new hoodie that my little son will be wearing with pride.”
But after getting dragged on social media, Rachel changed the slogan to “Coolest Prince In The World.” And just in case anyone was wondering, she says all proceeds from the sales of the “protest” hoodie will go directly to providing for her “3 Black sons.”
