Move over, #KatyPerry! It looks like #TaylorSwift has #badblood with #QuincyJones! The legendary producer has worked with the biggest names in music— #MichaelJackson, #ArethaFranklin and #RayCharles just to name a few— but it doesn’t seem like he’s much too impressed in T-Swift.
When #GQ interviewer Chris Heath asked what he thought of her songwriting skills, Heath describes the face that Jones made as “somewhere between disapproval and disdain.”
“We need more songs, man. F*cking songs, not hooks,” Jones said. When Heath mentioned that some people consider Swift to be one of the greatest songwriters of this day, Jones replied, “Whatever crumbles your cookie.” BIG SHADE!
Does this mean Jones wouldn’t ever join Swift in the studio? Well, he didn’t say, but the reporter asked, hypothetically, what he would do if he produced a record for Swift… and more shade followed.
“I’ll figure something out. Man, the song is the sh*t — that’s what people don’t realize. A great song can make the worst singer in the world a star. A bad song can’t be saved by the three best singers in the world. I learned that 50 years ago,” he shared.
Do y’all think Mr. Jones could help Miss Swift out with her skills?!
