Queen Naija has been giving the people what they want lately! Sis has been going hard since she dropped her debut album, “Missunderstood” back in October and recently dropped her deluxe version “Missunderstood….Still.” Queen came through with her latest single, “Set Him Up,” featuring Ari Lennox, which is the collaboration we always needed! Not only is it a bop, but it gave her fans “The Boy Is Mine” 2021 vibes!
Outside of promoting her music on social media, Queen is one of the many celebrities that always posts relatable things on her accounts. Today she took her fans back down memory lane when she tweeted about some throwback brands she used to rock in high school! Now keep in mind, fashion back in the mid-2000s was simple! Nowadays, it’s all about designer brands and fast fashion, so it was cool to see her talk about brands like U.S Polo Association (USPA) and Aeropostale. What a time to be alive!
She tweeted, “I remember I used to feel embarrassed in middle school cause I couldn’t afford Hollister & Aeropostale shirts. Back then, if you got caught wearing U.S Polo Assn. instead of RALPH LAUREN, they would fire you up.” It’s crazy how you think something like this only happened to you to find out other people went through the same situation, even celebrities. Back then, USPA was frowned upon, although very similar clothing brands were deemed acceptable for having the same items.
The songstress didn’t stop there. She shared photos rocking a pair of flats, another thing I, along with her fans, could relate to! Flats were a big deal, and because of the affordable prices, it was another shoe that everyone used to rock! She captioned the photos, “These same funky flats, lmao.” Her fans quickly gave their approval. One commented, “LMAOOO, periodt sis, you were still cute!!!”
Roomies, did y’all rock flats in high school?
