Queen Latifah has been named as the host for the 2018 Black Girls Rock! Award Show.
The award show has solely been dedicated to celebrating the achievements of black girls and women across all fields.
According to Hot New Hip Hop, Beverly Bond, the CEO, and founder of Black Girls Rock! spoke about Queen Latifah hosting this year’s award show.
She said, “Queen Latifah is the epitome of black excellence, Hip Hop royalty, and black girl magic! She has been a longtime supporter of Black Girls Rock! and has been honored at both our televised and pre-televised shows. I’m so thrilled to welcome her back to the Black Girls Rock! stage as host.”
Latifah shared behind the scene footage of this year’s promotional shoot for Black Girls Rock on her social media.
Black Girls Rock airs on BET Sunday, September 9th.
