As the details continue to be revealed during his sexual misconduct trial, the allegations against Cuba Gooding Jr. grow more shocking. In the latest development, prosecutors allege that he has a history of disturbing behavior with women—and they shared some of his past explicit comments during a recent court appearance.
Earlier this week, the number of women now accusing Cuba Gooding Jr. of sexual misconduct climbed to 14—but that’s only a small portion of his mounting legal troubles. As reported by @PageSix, during his recent arraignment in Manhattan Supreme Court, prosecutors brought out evidence that Cuba is a serial offender of pursuing women with unwanted sexual advances. In new court documents, prosecutors allege that Cuba once told a female stranger that he wanted her to “sit on my face, pee in my mouth.”
The incident allegedly happened in February 2011, when he grabbed the woman’s arm in an LA bar as she walked past him to go to the bathroom. He “then placed his hand inside the woman’s blouse and squeezed her bare breast” and she pushed him away, saying “you’re so nasty,” according to court documents. After the woman came out of the bathroom, Cuba allegedly grabbed her arm again before someone else at the bar told him to leave her alone.
The woman in question is one of the 14 accusers alleging sexual misconduct. Also, during his arraignment, Cuba pled not guilty to two counts of forcible touching and two counts of third-degree sex abuse, all misdemeanors, involving a pair of the alleged victims.
Although he has not yet been charged for the allegations from the other dozen accusers, prosecutors still plan to introduce their claims in court to prove that Cuba has a pattern of sexual abuse. Prosecutors also state that he has allegations dating back to 2011 and spanning four states: New York, California, Texas and New Mexico.
This includes an alleged incident in 2013, when he grabbed a woman’s butt and licked her neck without her consent at the Chatwal Hotel in Manhattan. In 2012, Cuba allegedly approached a woman and reached underneath her skirt and assaulted her at Café Havana in Malibu, California, court documents state.
Cuba’s lawyer released a statement after the arraignment saying:
“Looking at these instances, it is clear that the defendant’s actions are intentional, rather than accidental, that he does not mistakenly believe the acts are consensual. If any of them had any credence or validity, they would have been incorporated into criminal cases.”
Cuba Gooding Jr.’s next court appearance has not yet been announced publicly.
