As fans continue to mourn the loss of music icon Prince, many began to wonder what would happen to his Paisley Park estate outside of Minneapolis.
Last month rumors started to circulate that the late singers bank was looking to have the property placed on the market. However, a statement was released denying those allegations.
According to USA Today, Paisley Park will be turned into a museum to honor Prince, and fans can start taking tours as early as October. Prince’s sister Tyka Nelson released a statement where she expressed her excitement.
She said, “Opening Paisley Park is something that Prince always wanted to do and was actively working on. Only a few hundred people have had the rare opportunity to tour the estate during his lifetime. Now fans from around the world will be able to experience Prince’s world for the first time, as we open the doors to this incredible place.”
Although ticket prices are unknown at this time, they are expected to go on sale this Friday, and tours will begin on October 6th.
It’s great to see Prince’s legacy being preserved in such an amazing way.
