Prince Harry Speaks On Family Pain & Shares That He Questioned His Royal Duties Because Of ‘What It Did To My Mom’

On Thursday, it was reported that Prince Harry moved his family to California, in order to break a cycle of “pain and suffering,” according to an interview.

In an interview with Dax Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” podcast, Prince Harry stated that his father Prince Charles passed down pain. “It’s a lot of genetic pain and suffering that gets passed on anyway.”

He also stated, “He treated me the way he was treated,” referring to Prince Charles.

It’s also reported that Prince Harry contemplated carrying out his Royal duties in his 20’s because of “what it did to my mom,” he stated.

He went on to compare his experience as living in a zoo, “Yep, it’s a mix between “The Truman Show” and living in a zoo, according to reports.

Prince Harry also stated, “The three major times I felt completely helpless — one when I was a kid in the back of the car with my mom being chased by paparazzi, two was in Afghanistan in an Apache helicopter, and then the third one was with my wife,” according to reports.

Most recently, it was announced that Lifetime is creating a biopic detailing the exit of Prince Harry and Mehgan Markle.

According to Deadline, the network has greenlit “Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace,” which is a follow-up film in their royal series. The first film released was “Harry & Meghan,” in 2019 and the network followed up with the first sequel “Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal,” in 2019.

Casting for the film is currently underway, and production is scheduled to start this spring, with the film expected to premiere later this year. Lifetime reportedly says the film will reveal everything that happened inside the palace, which eventually led to Harry and Meghan parting ways with the royal family.

Lifetime continued to state that the film will “detail Meghan’s growing isolation and sadness, their disappointment that ‘The Firm’ was not defending them against the press’s attacks and Harry’s fear that history would repeat itself and he would not be able to protect his wife and son from the same forces that caused his mother’s untimely death.”
