Since the hoverboard made its debut on the scene, people can’t get enough of them –including church folk. Would y’all believe a priest got suspended over one?!
Literally! A priest in the Philippines rolled to the altar and conducted Christmas Mass on a hover board! Talk about unorthodox! Anyways his stroll down the alter was deemed inappropriate and resulted in the diocese suspending him. They said he needs some time to “reflect.”
They just sent the priest of the church to his room for inappropriately riding a hover board!?
In their defense, the diocese said, “Hoverboarding is an unholy activity unbecoming of a priest.” And then to add insult to injury, “The Eucharist demands utmost respect and reverence. It is the Church’s highest form of worship, not a personal celebration where one can capriciously introduce something to get attention.”
It is with hope that the priest uses this consequence as a “wake up call” and return with better etiquette.
