President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have reacted to Donald Trump’s guilty verdict.
As The Shade Room previously reported, former president Donald Trump was convicted on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records after paying adult entertainer Stormy Daniels before his 2016 presidential campaign.

President Biden & VP Kamala Harris React To Trump Verdict
Shortly after news broke about Trump’s conviction on Thursday, the Biden-Harris campaign released a statement.
“In New York today we saw that no one is above the law. Donald Trump has always mistakenly believed he would never face consequences for breaking the law for his own personal gain. But today’s verdict does not change the fact that American people face a simple reality. There is still only one way to keep Trump out of the Oval Office: at the ballot box,” Biden and Harris stated.
The statement further details that Trump’s 2024 campaign is solely based on revenge and retribution.
“The threat Trump poses to our democracy has never been greater. He is running an increasingly unhinged campaign of revenge of retribution, pledging to be a dictator ‘on day one’ and calling for our Constitution to be ‘terminated’ so he can regain and keep power. A second Trump term means chaos, ripping away Americans’ freedoms and fomenting political violence — and the American people will reject it this November,” Biden and Harris continued.
More Details On The Verdict In Donald Trump’s Trial
On Thursday (May 30), Donald Trump was found guilty of all charges against him in his hush money trial. He was convicted of fabricating business records after paying adult film actress Stormy Daniels $130,000 before the 2016 presidential election.
Despite the guilty verdict, the businessman and politician quickly responded to the trial’s conclusion. He stood firm on his innocence and claimed the case was “rigged.” He also mentioned the trial’s Judge Merchan and blamed the Biden administration.
“This was a disgrace; this was a rigged trial by a conflicted judge who was corrupt. This is a rigged trial, a disgrace. They wouldn’t give us a venue change, we are at five percent or six percent in this district, in this area. This is a rigged, disgraceful trial. The real verdict is going to be November 5 by the people, and they know what happened here, and everybody knows what happened here…We didn’t do a thing wrong, I’m a very innocent man. And it’s okay. I’m fighting for our country, I’m fighting for our constitution. Our whole country is being rigged right now. This was done by the Biden administration in order to wound or hurt a political opponent and I think it’s just a disgrace.”
Trump Declares Innocence After Hush Money Trial
Trump’s comments about the trial didn’t stop there. He later took to Truth Social to share more remarks about the court’s final verdict.
“My civil rights have been totally violated with this highly political, unconstitutional, and election interfering witch hunt. Our failing nation is being laughed at all over the world!” the former president wrote.
Trump’s hush money trial is just one of the four cases against him. He is also facing a federal election interference case in Washington, D.C., a state election interference case in Georgia, and a federal case claiming that he mishandled classified documents and national security information.
Now that the trial has come to an end, Judge Merchan has confirmed Donald Trump’s sentencing date for July 11. The date coincidentally falls days before the Republican party is set to confirm him as their official nominee for the 2024 presidential election.
Trump’s conviction will not stop him from continuing his 2024 campaign. In fact, his daughter-in-law Lara Trump, who serves as co-chair of the Republican National Committee, told Fox News Channel that if he is convicted and sentenced to home confinement, he will commit to virtual rallies and campaign events.
