President-Elect Joe Biden Is Reportedly Expected To Publicly Take COVID-19 Vaccine As Early As Next Week

Roommates, we previously reported that Barack Obama and a few other former presidents are planning to take the coronavirus vaccine on camera, or in a public setting to help build confidence in the shot. It is now being reported that President-elect Joe Biden is planning to do the same thing.

According to CNN, Biden is gearing up to take the vaccine as early as next week, and he plans to take the shot in public for Americans to witness.

“I don’t want to get ahead of the line, but I want to make sure we demonstrate to the American people that it is safe to take,” Biden told reporters Wednesday. “When I do it,I’ll take it publicly, so you all can witness my getting it done.”

Sources close to Joe Biden tell CNN that he plans to take the shot sometime next week and would like to take it sooner, but the logistics of wanting to take the shot publicly is slowing down the process.

Earlier this month, Joe Biden told CNN’s Jake Tapper that he would be “happy to” receive a coronavirus vaccine once it was deemed safe by Dr. Anthony Fauci. He revealed during that time that he would be taking it publicly, and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris said she too would get the vaccine.

As we previously reported, Pfizer’s COVID vaccine was approved for emergency use by the FDA and has been shipped out all across the country. One of the first doses was given to a nurse in Queens, NY just a few days ago.

The FDA is reportedly considering an Emergency Use Authorization for Moderna’s vaccine this week as well.
